V1.0 – Simple Forge that uses waste oil as the primary fuel.
Overview of V1.0:
Trying to keep this as simple and cheap as possible.
With fuel being one of the most expensive aspects of running a forge be it propane, coal, charcoal or even wood. The burner design that will be based on either the Babington Burner or a siphon type. To save money it will burn waste motor and vegetable oil which can be gotten for free from many sources.
The body of the forge will be an air tank. Both ends will open up completely for cleaning and repairs and these doors will have access ports. The from access port will remain open and the rear port will be able to be opened or closed to facilitate heating longer items. It will be lined with a refractory.
